This book was written long time ago and we can now actually see that the forecast they made about the future has become true – revealing what great minds the authors are. Nov 20, Charlie rated it liked it. Written 4 years ago it got futrica things right about the importance of attention and networks. The philosophical aspirations seems very ill grounded and seems to consist grilogy of name dropping and vague allusions to different isms.

trilkgy Quotes from The Netocracts: This process continues in a vicious circle, the inevitable culmination of which is the death of representative democracy, the complete impotence of politicians, and a hyper-real media dictatorship.

This process is strengthened by feedback. Then the media go on to show how adaptable politicians are adapting to this norm, or are allowing themselves to be adapted, and so the process goes on and on, ad infinitum.
